Il Medium per Velatura Fiammingo è un preparato a base di resina copale e olio di lino, progettato per emulare le tecniche dei maestri fiamminghi del Rinascimento. Questo medium consente di applicare sottili velature trasparenti su strati di pittura asciutti, conferendo ai dipinti una luminosità intensa e una profondità straordinaria. La sua formulazione si basa su una miscela ricca e bilanciata di resina copale e olio di lino, che dona al medium una consistenza viscosa e facilmente controllabile. Questo permette di stendere il colore in strati sottili, chiamati appunto velature, che aggiungono luminosità e intensità ai toni sottostanti senza coprirli completamente. Uno degli aspetti più apprezzati di questo medium è la sua lucentezza naturale e l’effetto quasi vetroso che conferisce alla pittura. The Flemish Glazing Medium is a preparation based on copal resin and linseed oil, designed to emulate the techniques of the Flemish masters of the Renaissance. This medium allows for the application of thin, transparent glazes over dry layers of paint, giving artworks an intense luminosity and remarkable depth. Its formulation is based on a rich and balanced blend of copal resin and linseed oil, which gives the medium a viscous and easily controllable consistency. This enables the artist to apply color in thin layers, known as glazes, which add brightness and intensity to the underlying tones without completely covering them. One of the most appreciated features of this medium is its natural gloss and the almost glass-like effect it imparts to the painting. Moreover, it dries relatively quickly — in about two hours — allowing the artist to proceed with successive layers without long waiting times. The Flemish Glazing Medium lends itself to various uses: it can be used pure for rich, defined brushstrokes, or diluted — for example, with another transparent medium — to create thin and delicate glazes, perfect for enhancing details or harmonizing tones in subtle transitions.
